A winter day in Hamburg

I am not the commercial holiday kind of person – more like the “the Grinch” of any kind of holiday. So yes, I must admit – I do not like Christmas. Not too much. Except for spending time with my family, I do not really care about those days.

That’s why I decided to take some Photos in the city. On 25th December in 2013, after having lunch with my family, I grabbed my analogue Canon EOS 300 and tried taking some shots without knowing the results as the camera works with a film. Back then I had no clue at all how to use such a camera. I am still not a professional photograper. But now, I at least know a little more about the technical stuff. However, a long walk on a cold winterday, a walk up on the St. Michaelis Church – the results, 3 years later. I remember it as it has been last Christmas. It was a good day and I was not too disappointed in my Canon and myself’s work.

I hope you are enjoying to see some photos of Hamburg, the city of Reeperbahn and the beautiful port…when the “Esso-Haeuser” were there…when “Elphi” was not finished…
